Will there be three million gamers Alone in the Dark?

The new evolution of the Alone in the Dark franchise is expected to be huge, according to head honcho of Infogrames, David Gardner’s, predictions.
Alone in the Dark for the PC, PS2, Wii and 360 is expected to sell 2-3 million units to recoup for the developers costly spending in developing their games.
That’s pretty high expectations for a series not as huge as the Resident Evil or Silent Hill series.
Alone in the Dark began life in the baby years’ of computer technology. It first appeared on DOS, Mac and on the PSone in 1992 and was given a critical rating of 90% by gamerankings.com. It then spawned two more titles that were below the radar; where the adventure takes Edward Carnby onto a pirate ship and the Wild West. The series then jumped into the publicity pool with Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare for the PS2, Dreamcast (R.I.P), PC and Game Boy Color (R.I.P), receiving mediocre reviews.
However this game is set on the grand scale in New York City’s Central Park. Anyone who played Spider-man 2 and 3 know roughly how big this game might become. It is also widely hyped to include a dynamic playworld where the earth itself would give out under the player’s feet somewhere in the game.
Expect to take down the Dark on June 24th.
