Wii Sports Sequel Reception
July 2nd 2009 06:44
There have been many birthday's and events where the ol' Wii streamed in laughter from middle-aged grown ups while playing Wii Sports. Now well over two years later, the sequel has come to inject new content to the party once again.
It took its time, but this title is now a proper reason for casual gamers to refresh their bowling skills.
Wii Sports, bundled with the Wii console on its release, is considered as one of the most loved titles on the system. So it comes as no surprise as 353,000 Japanese gamers ate up the 4800 yen (around $50) sequel, Wii Sports Resort (bundled with Wii Motion Plus), within four days on sale, a Famitsu report translated by games website, Gamasutra, said.
With this news, we can see the impact the complimentary prequel had on gamers, and a Nintendo mascot is nowhere at sight!
Archery, Frisbee throwing, Basketball, Cycling, Canoeing, Power Crusiing, Table tennis, Bowling (back!), Sword play, Golf and Wakeboarding is highlighted to appear, with a release date, according to Nintendo, slated for July 23rd for $99.95 AUS.
