Wii say no to AO
June 28th 2007 15:04
On the latest, interesting, news-fact:
A lucky reporter from newsweek had an interview with Nintentdo President Reggie Fils-Aime, and one of the important points I believe everybody should know, is Nintendo’s rating policy.
Quoted from Mr Fils-Aime, upon the mention on Nintendo’s position about Manhunt 2 on Wii, their rating system does not include an Adults-Only rating.
"Wii welcomes games rated E, T and M. We haven't approved AO-rated games. I doubt we ever will. What Rockstar has right now is a game rated outside our spectrum.”
So possibly no Manhunt 2 on Wii at this early stage for us Australians, the OFLC hasn’t gotten their hands on it yet, than again, they probably don’t need to before they decide; bad publicity over in the UK and United States isn’t helping Take Two’s matters in this country, the country one year (at least 6 months) behind all other countries.
Yeah, no AO for the Wii in the future, leave does games to be found on the PC or imported PS3 and 360 games.
Other news: (“exclusive” on this site before being post again for the next volume of news at videogames.net.au): Soldier of Fortunes 3: Payback, is claimed to be in prodcution.
