NEWSFLASH – JB HiFi and EBgames.com.au websites are taking orders for cancelled Collector Editions of StarCraft 2.
The release of StarCraft 2 is tonight, with several retail stores opening midnight for the expected craze. JBHi-Fi at Sydney City Galleries and EBgames at Chatswood just to name a few.
It is virtually impossible to get a pre-order copy of the collector’s edition, selling out within three days at Electronic’s Boutique. One fortunate gamer, whom pre-order the copy early on the third day, missed out on getting a second copy for his girlfriend in the afternoon.
Some Game retail stores are only aloud to have one pre-order of the collector’s edition.
On a extra note, Blizzard has figured out how to stop gamers with early copies from playing until the release. A video at 1up leaking the contents of the CE edition reveals installation of the game is impossible until the official release of the game.
