Sonic 4 Announced!

It's been 16 years since Sonic 3, and after several 3D spin offs that has brought credibility to Sega's mascot to an all time low, Sonic 4 is coming to the PS3, Wii and 360 as downloadable content.
A trailer has been released, giving a brief history lesson of Sonic's 2D glory days and finishing with a 3D Sonic racing through a loop collecting rings in the Green Hill Zone on a 2D plane.The game is going to be released this Summer 2010... However it is yet to be confirmed for an Australian release date.
Its going to be episodic, as you can tell by the title, and Sonic will be the only playable character. Going back to the old ways may signal Sega's realisation that Sonic is not built for the 3D world.
