Edward 1Skyrim Collector's Edition Highly Prized

The PC version of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Collector's Edition (CE) pre-order sells out within a day at our two major gaming retailers in Australia.
As soon as I read the the announcement on the 1up website on Saturday, I immediately went to the EBgames website and the PC version sold out already. The 360 version sold out on Sunday, and the PS3 version just sold out today.
On Saturday and Sunday, GAME's website hasn't updated with the Skyrim Collector's Edition. It turns out their main system of operations were on a weekend break and the CE soon popped up Monday morning. I checked in the evening, and sure enough, the PC version sold out promptly. Strangely pre-orders for the PC version appeared on Tuesday morning and quickly disappeared. I'm guessing GAME either quickly made up their own numbers for pre-orders on Monday and were updated with the exact number they could take on Tuesday morning, or Bethesda decided to increase the production of the CE due to the strong demand for it. Either way, the PC version was destined for the most dedicated Elder Scrolls fan.
Why the most dedicated? Well it's because of the price tag: $200 Australian. $50 steeper than the US version with the same items; a making-of DVD, a 200-page hard cover art book, a cloth map and a 12 inch tall dragon statue. This CE is yet another victim to the high costs gamers Down Under are subjected to. Just take a look at the upcoming $209 AUS Uncharted 3 Explorer's Edition compared to its $99 price tag in the US.
Now price conversion is an issue debated for a long time, but the most interesting part of this chain of events is that whatever people on the internet complain how expensive these set of items are, it didn't stop it from having pre-orders filled up quickly like Costco's parking lot on it's opening day.
If you are a PS3 or 360 owner just caught wind of this, obviously, highly wanted item: head over to GAME as soon as possible before the CE disappears, as in, sells out.
