Street Fighter movie: Official Shadoloo posse announced!
March 24th 2008 05:56
Kristin (Smallville) Kreuk won't be fighting just anyone in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. She might have to contend with Michael Clarke Duncan!
These are the characters announced by Eurogamer via Capcom for the new Street Fighter movie due out next year.
Shadoloo
- Balrog
- M. Bison
-Vega
Giant man, Michael Clarke Duncan (Daredevil's Kingpin), plays Balrog. M. (bad ass) Bison is played by Neil McDonough and Black Eyed Peas member, Taboo, plays Vega.
In the red corner is the confirmed (with one exception) Street Fighter team consisting of:
Street Fighters
- Chun Li
- Charlie
- Guile (unconfirmed)
Chris Klein will play, Guile-clone, Charlie Nash.
An interesting note about Charlie is that he actually never lived to contend in the original Street Fighter games. He actually appeared in the Street Fighter prequel games, Street Fighter Alpha, and was presumed dead to the hands of M. (bad ass) Bison. Thus this might give further evidence that the movie will be set prior to the events in Street Fighter 2 and a showing of a much younger Chun Li.
Guile might also show up for a bit of Shadoloo butt whooping, as Jean Claude Van Damme stated in an interview with MTV this year, that he was approached to reprise his role as Guile (from 1994's Street Fighter) but rejected the offer due to the movie's by reputation.
The movie's release date was to coincide with the franchise's 20th Anniversary.
Fingers crossed for more characters to appear, oh, and also a good movie too.
