Latest Figures Show Handheld Dominance In Australia

New figures show more than 3.5% of Australians are casual gamers on the run.
Latest results show the handheld market drew bigger figures than the consoles’.
According to GfK Australia from Gamespot, these figures show the number of people who own the second most popular gaming device in the country.
The Nintendo DS (730,076 total sold), with its arsenal of casual games, holds this accolade.
The most popular game machine of choice is still held by the good ol’ PS2, with over 9.5% (2,118,646) in aussie homes.
Coming 3rd is the PSP with 317,442 devices sold, then the 360 (222,136), Wii (167,899) and coming home last so far, the PS3 with only 82,261 consoles sold.
