Here Comes Free 3D Updates
May 24th 2010 00:01
Converging technology is Sony’s main goal for this year. Whether we like it or not, Sony is pushing 3D gaming along with their 3D TV’s, with free updates to existing PS3/PSN titles.
Computer and Video Games website say’s Sony might release their 3D firmware update next month. And people buying Sony’s HX803 and LX903 Bravia 3D screens will have four games bundled. The announced games is the full version of WipEout HD, the demo of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, the full game of Super Stardust HD and 3 episodes of PAIN.
For the uninitiated gamer, PAIN’s main theme is catapulting your character to cause as much damage to them as possible. This means scoring points by smashing into intricately placed objects, that would pinball your character, and your score, to greatness. It’s Iphone’s Angry Birds but with people.
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is a extreme (think MTV) buggy/bikes/rally car racer set in volcanic terrain, grassy jungles and mountainsides filled with many obstacles that will cause other players, and you, to crash and burn. Oh, and you can push down a turbo button that explodes your vehicle caused by overheating the engine!
Super Stardust HD: is a top down space shooter, where you blow up anything that flies from every side of the TV screen. Who likes to obliterate revolving comets anyone?
Wipeout HD is like Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, but in space and with power ups that can be used to “Wipeout” your opponents to get to first place. Bad pun, but great party game.
