F.E.A.R sequel with new name.
Project Origin, Monolith's sequel to first person horror shooter F.E.A.R, was announced by new publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE).
The name had to be replaced since Monolith’s original publisher, Vivendi, own the copyright to the F.E.A.R name and logo.
This also marks the first internally made game by WBIE.
Samantha Ryan, Warner Bros. Interactive supervisor of production and development, is optimistic in regards to the franchise's future.
"This game marks a new beginning for the franchise,” she said.
“With the consoles and the PC, we’re dedicated to add a new game dynamic to the universe and build upon what the players loved about the original game.”
Fan’s were involved in naming the new title through the Name Your Fear competition. Troy Skinner, producer at Monolith, said the team enjoyed the fans input.
Project Origin will scare PS3, PC and 360 gamers soon.
