DMC and Asura's Wrath announced

The Tokyo Game Show is the E3 of Japan as many new games from established titles will be on show, such as a new Devil May Cry game.
Simply known as DMC, my initial impression to this reboot is: wtf? I can see its inspirations to keep the franchise fresh by setting the counter to zero, like the Aliens vs Predator game, but changing everything but the name of Dante? If this is the Dante we all seen in the last four games, this new Dante may receive similar backlash to the surfy version of Cole in Infamous 2, which saw the latter character revised to what he original was in the first title.
I hope this goth version of Dante is his son or great, great, grand son… But I should stop complaining about who the kid is. What I’m interested in more is what he can do, more specifically, what British developer Ninja Theory is going to do. They proved they can make a decent God of War clone in the form of Heavenly Sword, but can they create a combat system up to par with Bayonetta? Can’t wait to see actually game play!

The trailer/game play demo defines over-the-top action as had Bayonetta did, except swap her curves with hulking muscle and unrelenting testosterone. As waves of spears crash into the un-named protagonist’s body, he shrugs it off like they are toothpicks and sprints into enemies with his mighty arms of blood-stained punishment. He continues to punish by piledriving the unfortunate grunts with a column five times his size and crushing their heads onto each other with his fists. If that wasn’t enough, the screaming protagonist withstands the finger of a giant dude in space! 100% Japanese.
